The heat is sticking around across Alabama’s beaches, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 90s through much of next week.
A few showers or thunderstorms could pop up during the afternoon today, Saturday, and Sunday, but rain chances remain pretty limited. Otherwise, sunshine will dominate, with overnight lows staying near 80.
The biggest story will be the heat, with afternoon heat index values reaching around 105 to 107 degrees through the weekend. Stay hydrated and take it easy during the hottest part of the day!
Beach Forecast
Beach conditions from Dauphin Island to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach look pretty favorable over the next several days. The rip current risk remains low, with surf generally around 1 to 2 feet. Water temperatures are running in the upper 80s, so the Gulf will be plenty warm. The UV index will be very high to extreme most afternoons, so sunscreen and plenty of shade will be important.
